Akhmadjon Urinov (b. 1950) is a Doctor of Sciences in Physics and Mathematics (1993) and Professor at Fergana State University. He specializes in boundary value problems for equations of mixed type, degenerate hyperbolic and parabolic equations, and fractional partial differential equations. He served as Rector of Fergana State University (1999–2004). A student of Academician M.S. Salakhitdinov, he has supervised 10 defended dissertations and authored 6 books and numerous papers.
